Does it work on my website platform?+
Yes. If your site can add a script tag, it can run Vaani: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, React, Angular, plain HTML, or Google Tag Manager. Single-page apps can also control it through the JavaScript API.
Do patients need to install anything?+
No. Voice runs on the browser’s own speech engine, in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Android browsers. When a browser has no microphone support, patients can type instead.
How does it know our doctors and slots?+
You add departments, doctors, OP days, session times and slot length in the dashboard. Vaani works out the free slots live and never offers a slot that is already booked. For a real-time link to your HIS, use webhooks or the Enterprise integration.
Can we change the name, colours and voice?+
Yes. Name the assistant anything you like (“Asha”, “Maya”, or your brand name), and set the primary and accent colours, theme, position, corner radius, greeting, quick replies and voice language. Growth and higher plans can also remove the “Powered by Vaani” badge.
Is this AI going to give medical advice?+
No. Vaani is designed to guide and book. It routes symptoms to departments, answers your approved FAQs and escalates emergencies. On the Pro plan, Claude AI answers open questions, but only from the facts you provide.
What counts as a conversation?+
A conversation is one patient session, however many messages it contains. When you reach your monthly limit, we let you know before anything stops, and you can upgrade at any time.
